Terms of Service
Effective from 30 September 2026
1. Who we are
This website, optimod.net, and the services offered on it are provided by Optimod Enterprise, Sara Kremsar s.p., SveÄane 23b, 2214 Sladki Vrh, Slovenia, registration number 9083588000, VAT ID SI63357178 ("Optimod", "we", "us"). You can reach us at info@optimod.net.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to every use of the website, to user accounts and to services ordered through it. By using the website or creating an account you accept these Terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.
2. Consumers and businesses
We work with businesses and with individuals. Where you act for purposes outside your trade, business or profession, you are a consumer, and the mandatory consumer protection rules of Slovenian and EU law, including the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), apply in addition to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights those rules give you.
3. Using the website
The information on the website is general. It is not individual business, legal or tax advice, and we do not guarantee that it is complete or current. You must not:
- use the website unlawfully, or to infringe the rights of others;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, other accounts or our systems, or interfere with their operation;
- send automated requests that place an unreasonable load on the website, or repeatedly try to guess passwords;
- upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory or offensive;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your connection to a company.
4. Your account
You may create an account when registration is open, with an email address and password or through Google or LinkedIn. Accounts are for persons aged 18 or over, or for authorised representatives of a business. You must give accurate information and keep your password and any two factor authentication device safe. Tell us promptly at info@optimod.net if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or the law, and where possible we will tell you why.
5. Content and intellectual property
The content of the website, including text, graphics, logos, brochures and software, belongs to Optimod or to its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may view, download and print it for your own information and internal business use. Any other use, in particular reproduction, distribution or commercial use, needs our prior written consent.
When you submit content to us, for example a blog comment or a contribution to the Knowledge Hub, you confirm that you have the right to do so, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty free licence to publish, edit for form and display it on the website and in related publications for as long as it is published. Where a contribution names you, we publish it only as the submission form describes.
6. Paid services
Consulting and other paid services are agreed individually, by an offer and its acceptance or by a separate contract. That agreement sets out the scope, price and terms of payment and takes precedence over these Terms where they differ. Prices are stated in euro; VAT is added where it applies.
Right of withdrawal for consumers. If you are a consumer and conclude a contract with us at a distance (for example online or by email), you may withdraw from it within 14 days without giving a reason, by a clear statement sent to info@optimod.net. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded. If you asked us to begin the service within the withdrawal period, you pay for the part provided until you withdraw. You lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, if performance began with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right. We refund payments within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the website available and secure but cannot guarantee that it is uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of it, for example for maintenance or security.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For other damage caused by slight negligence, our liability to businesses is limited to foreseeable damage typical for the contract and, for services, to the fee paid for the service concerned. We are not liable for the content of third party websites we link to. These limits do not apply where mandatory law, including consumer protection law, does not allow them.
9. Complaints and disputes
Please send complaints to info@optimod.net. We confirm receipt, handle every complaint and reply in writing. If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a dispute together, you may refer it to a provider of out-of-court consumer dispute resolution under the Slovenian Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act (ZIsRPS). We will tell you which provider is competent when you ask.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the law or our services change. The version in force is always published on this page with its effective date. Significant changes are announced to account holders by email before they take effect. A contract already concluded stays under the Terms that applied when it was concluded.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and every contract with us are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For businesses, the competent court in Maribor has jurisdiction. Consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts where they live, and keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the others remain in force.
